Team Taiwan is a collective of roller derby athletes from around the world with Taiwanese heritage or ties to Taiwan. Our mission is to showcase our athleticism, inspire skaters of Asian descent, and build a supportive community for underrepresented athletes. We stand in solidarity with skaters from nations facing political repression. We strive to use our platform to raise awareness of Taiwan on a global scale and promote the sport of roller derby in Asian countries.
We are proud to represent Taiwan at the Roller Derby World Cup and recognize the profound significance of this opportunity—one that is often denied to us in other sports due to Taiwan's contested status as an independent nation. We advocate for all athletes who struggle for recognition and champion the rights of skaters from oppressed communities.
